Welcome to my very first KennyClue game review in blog form! I have done a few of these over on TikTok but thought I could go a bit more in-depth with reviews on the blogs!
Don't worry... NO spoilers ahead!
I actually played this on my computer but I had seen it on the Nintendo Switch E-shop many times before getting it on my PC in a sale.
Play as Claire, a cute bird on vacation at her aunt's cabin (also it takes place in Canada?!). With no cell phone service, she goes on a hike to the tallest mountain trying to find somewhere to take an important phone call. This is a very open world so you can follow the marked trails or explore the backcountry as you make your way to the mountain's summit! Meet other hikers, discover hidden treasures, and explore the cozy world all around you.
The dialogue in this game is pretty funny and reminds me of the humor that is used in Night in the Woods, which I absolutely love.
When it comes to games, music is very important to me. And this soundtrack by Mark Sparling is beautiful! I have already downloaded it on Spotify.
This game is affordable and definitely worth a play. I actually want to replay it because I feel like there is lots of stuff I missed! I finished the main game in under three hours but I didn’t do a lot of the side quests available. I would love to go back and do everything! There are fun mini-games and treasures to find that I completely missed. Plus this is a perfect game for the Switch. I did play on my PC but I used my controller so this is basically the perfect Nintendo Switch game and I might actually buy it again so I can have it on a handheld device too!
To sum it up simply.... I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves a simple exploring game. With the heartwarming story and dialogue
